At Neural Horizons, we research the Human-AI dyadic relationship through psychology, sociology, and cognitive science.
We have published resources (all Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0) as per the below:
1. Human-AI Interaction Primer - provides a base language view of the full project documents for non-practitioners.
2. Robo-Psychology Taxonomy - a "Diagnostic and Statistical Manual" which provides a behaviour-first reference to classify and mitigate machine behavioural anomalies and design failures across five cognitive layers. Also a Robo-Psychology white paper leaning into the technical aspects and reasoning behind the need for a formal taxonomy.
3. Cognitive Susceptibility Taxonomy - A static reference related to the specific human cognitive susceptibilities that intersect with AI behaviours, with a heavy focus on the Human-AI Dyad relationship
4. White paper - The Dyadic Frame in AI Safety, covering the need for the dual lens when assessing or working with AI systems.
5. Human-AI Fitness Stack - User guide to staying capable, grounded, and connected while using AI systems.
6. Dyad Aware Uplift Stack (DAUS-5), a 5 level test for any product claiming it makes people more productive, better informed, healthier, better supported, or better governed. Speed is not uplift.
7. Positive Dyad Co-Evolution Capability Overlay, a structured framework for identifying, measuring, and governing human-AI interaction loops that improve human capability over time.
8. AI Terminology translation, suggesting a move away from blunt media terms in AI behavioural risks, and towards a more structured language.
9. Epistemic Commons Lock-in Overlay, translates AI epistemic-risk findings into an auditable macro-layer for institutions, platforms, research systems, governance workflows, education systems, and model/data ecosystems.
10. Dyadic AI Risk and Capability Assessment, allows users to assess a built system against the human-AI interaction layer before you take it to scale
